Zion Pools: Q & A
Q: Why did you name it Zion Pools?
A: We chose Zion Pools as our name primarily based on an affinity for Zion National Park. One of the key factors in starting this company was a desire to be outside. I had great opportunities to work indoors after college but chose to be outdoors instead because of a passion for nature and an appreciation for the trade/service industries. We believe in the working people of our country. Zion Pools is a business owned and operated by committed tradesmen.

Q: What makes Zion Pools different than other service companies?
A: We found our place in the pool service market by focusing on clear, personal communication and deliberate attention to detail and quality. We strive to bring value to our customers by being communicative at every phase and being honest and diligent with our word. We believe that honesty and integrity are necessities to success.

Q: Who is on the team at Zion Pools?
A: Currently, there are 4 members of Zion Pools, Timothy Smith, Cam Willie, Todd Hansen, & Shannon Hansen. However, to operate a successful pool service company requires a whole community. We often lean on other companies in the area for support and information. Comradery is our priority when maintaining relationships within the industry. We do our best to help other pool service companies and often work with other pool service professionals.

Q: How long have we been in business?
A: I started Zion Pools during my last semester in college in the winter of 2017. I'm an alumnus of SUU. We started very small with an old truck and very basic equipment. Through diligence and integrity we have been able to grow, at a sustainable pace, and now serve many customers all over St. George.

Q: Where did you learn how to maintain pools?
A: I was fortunate enough to be mentored by another St. George local who has been in the pool industry his entire life. I was able to gain a comprehensive understanding of pool maintenance and service that had been tried and tested over 35 years of experience. I will always be grateful for the opportunity that Nick Phillips and his father Ron Phillips extended to me. Our quality of service is a product of the skills and information that was handed down to me by masters.

Q: Why St. George, Utah?
A: Considering all of the great benefits of living in St. George, Utah it's easy to see why we chose to open our pool service business here. Realistically, I didn't want to live in any other state and St. George has the best weather in Utah. Utah is my home and I wanted to have my family here.

Weekly Pool service from Zion Pools Includes:
1. Chemical Analysis
Our chemical analysis is precise and effective. Our protocol is to check Chlorine, PH, Alkalinity, Salt (if applicable), Cyanuric Acid, Phosphates, and Total Dissolved Solids. Water chemistry is our specialty.
2. Water Balance
Once the chemical analysis is performed we will calculate the appropriate dosages for your pool and make the adjustments. Keeping your chemistry on point is key to extending the life of your pool and creating an enjoyable experience for swimmers.
3. Equipment Monitoring
Each week we will check for leaks, empty pump baskets, backwash sand filters, and remove that pair of goggles that always gets stuck in your pool sweeper.
4. Pool Cleaning Service
In addition to chemistry, our weekly pool service visits will include skimming and brushing pool surfaces and floor debris, emptying skimmer baskets, and brushing pool walls and ledges as needed.
5. Email Updates
Once your pool service visit is complete, you will receive an email notification outlining the time of service and the amount of chemicals added.
6. Professional Support
We are easy to contact and quick to respond to our dedicated clients. As a weekly service customer, you can count on us to be available when you need us most.
