Zion Pools: Q & A
Q: Why did you name it Zion Pools?
A: We chose Zion Pools as our name primarily based on an affinity for Zion National Park. One of the key factors in starting this company was a desire to be outside. I had great opportunities to work indoors after college but chose to be outdoors instead because of a passion for nature and an appreciation for the trade/service industries. We believe in the working people of our country. Zion Pools is a business owned and operated by committed tradesmen.
Q: What makes Zion Pools different than other service companies?
A: We found our place in the pool service market by focusing on clear, personal communication and deliberate attention to detail and quality. We strive to bring value to our customers by being communicative at every phase and being honest and diligent with our word. We believe that honesty and integrity are necessities to success.
Q: Who is on the team at Zion Pools?
A: Currently, there are 5 members of Zion Pools, Timothy Smith, Jake Burton, Daniel Olson, Todd Hansen, & Shannon Hansen. However, to operate a successful pool service company requires a whole community. We often work with other companies in the area for support and information.
Q: How long have we been in business?
A: I started Zion Pools during my last semester in college in January 2018. I'm an alumnus of SUU. We started very small with an old truck and very basic equipment. Through diligence and integrity we have been able to grow, at a sustainable pace, and now serve many customers all over St. George. After years in the industry and thousands of repairs and service stops under our belts we can confidently say we are experts in pool service.
Q: Where did you learn how to maintain pools?
A: I was fortunate enough to be mentored by another St. George local who has been in the pool industry his entire life. I was able to gain a comprehensive understanding of pool maintenance and service that had been tried and tested over 35 years of experience. I will always be grateful for the opportunity that Nick Phillips and his father Ron Phillips extended to me. Our quality of service is a product of the skills and information that was shared with me.
Q: Why St. George, Utah?
A: Considering all of the great benefits of living in St. George, Utah it's easy to see why we chose to open our pool service business here. Realistically, I didn't want to live in any other state and St. George has the best weather in Utah. Utah is my home and I wanted to have my family here.
